Laura Aylor shares the inspiration for her Hay
Cove cardigan. "The colors of Harrisville’s WATERshed are so
beautifully heathered that I wanted to knit a sweater in about 10 of them!
Because I am on the impatient side and wanted to knit them all Right Now, I
decided to use my six favorites in a fall cardigan in fall colors. This
backfired. Now I want a sweater in each of those colors."
This cozy cardigan can be knit in 2
colors or as many as 10. Two rows of stranded colorwork transition from one
color to the next. Construction is an adaptation of Barbara Walker’s
top-down seamless simultaneous set-in sleeve construction from her book
Knitting From the Top.
Modeled cardigan is being worn with about an inch of positive ease.
