Poeira, by Seni Designs, is an airy
and seamless shawl knit on the bias in a pretty pattern that combines
lace with textured stitches. It has a cool spiral and a slightly
asymmetrical shape, being a fun and versatile wrap easy to knit and wear. It
works well with both variegated and solid yarns.
There are two options are provided for working this pattern — version A for
knitters that prefer to knit and version B, for knitters that prefer to
purl. The shawl was knitted with Drops Silk Alpaca, however either solid or
variegated yarns look fantastic due to the pattern’s simplicity.
As shown Poeira has 20 repeats of Chart
B, to adjust the shawl’s size simply change the number of repeats of Chart
B. It was knitted with Garnstudio Drops Baby Alpaca Silk (fingering weight
yarn) approx 334.7 m (366 yds). Adjust the needle size accordingly to the
desired effect - larger needles for an airy look or smaller needles for
better st definition. Gauge is listed as a guide for yardage requirements -
if you knit to a different gauge, make sure you have the yarn you will need.
