Lete's Knits' On a Peacock’s Tail is a collection of 5 designs. The designs are unique, elegant, with that je ne sais quoi factor.  Peacock Eyes Cardigan is a lightweight cardigan made in fingering yarn. It’s flattering and should perfectly match a dress or your favorite jeans. Peachick Eyes Cardigan is its girly version for all of you loving matching outfits, just like me. Peacock Eyes Beret, Loop and Fingerless Mitts can be made in the same worsted weight yarn to provide you with a unique set of accessories perfect for Fall or Winter.

Peacock Eyes Cardigan is a seamless cardigan worked from top to bottom all in one piece. It features a round yoke which is beautifully ornamented with lace motifs resembling the eyes on a peacock’s tail.
The cardigan is suitable for wool blends as well as cotton ones. Solid and semi-variegated yarns are highly recommended in order to show the unique beauty of the lace yoke.

Sizes 30/32”, 34/36”, 38/40”, 42/44”, 46/48”, 50/52”; Sizing is close-fitting with about 1-1.5 inch of negative ease already incorporated in the pattern.
Yarn Approximately 960, 1100, 1240, 1350, 1460, 1600 meters / 1050, 1200, 1350, 1450, 1600, 1750 yards of fingering weight yarn which gives you the correct gauge.
Needles 3.25 mm / US #3 circular needle (60 cm / 24” long) and dpns.
3.0 mm / US #2.5 circular needle (60 cm / 24” long) and dpns.
Other 13 buttons (~1 cm / 0.5” wide), tapestry needle, stitch markers, stitch holders / scrap yarn.
Gauge 26 sts and 36 rows in 10 cm / 4” in St st with bigger needles.

Peachick Eyes Cardigan is a seamless cardigan for girls worked from top to bottom all in one piece. It features a round yoke which is beautifully ornamented with lace motifs resembling the eyes on a peacock’s tail. Choose short or long sleeves - instructions for both are included.
The cardigan is suitable for wool blends as well as cotton ones. Solid and semi-variegated yarns are highly recommended in order to show the unique beauty of the lace yoke.

Sizes: 12 (18, 24) months, 2, 3, 4{5-6, 7-8, 9-10} years.
Finished measurements around chest: 47.5 (50.5, 53)56, 57.5, 60.5{64, 67, 72} cm / 19 (20.5, 21)22.25, 23, 24{25.5, 26.75, 28.75}”.
The cardigan is intended to be worn with about 2.5 cm / 1” of positive ease around chest.
When you choose a size do not rely solely on age but measure your child’s chest and choose a size about 2.5 cm / 1” larger than the actual chest measurement.
Yarn Long sleeved version requires approx. 350 (366, 412)460, 503, 550{595, 660, 730} meters / 380 (400, 450)500, 550, 600{650, 720, 800} yards of fingering weight yarn which gives you the correct gauge. Sample shown in Malabrigo Sock: colorway 857 Light of Love. Recommended yarns: MALABRIGO Sock, MADELINETOSH Tosh Merino Light, COLOUR ADVENTURES Dia Sock, TANIS FIBER ARTS Blue Label Fingering Weight.
Needles 3.25 mm / US #3 circular needle (60 cm / 24” long) and dpns.
2.75 mm / US #2 circular needle (60 cm / 24” long) and dpns.
Other 3 (3, 3)3, 3, 3{4, 4, 4} small buttons (~1 cm / 0.5” diameter), tapestry needle, stitch markers, stitch holders or scrap yarn.
Gauge 26 sts and 36 rows = 10 cm / 4” in St st with bigger needles after washing.
Take time to save time and check your gauge. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Peacock Eyes Beret is a seamless hat worked from bottom to top all in one piece. It features a collection of lace motifs resembling the eyes on a peacock’s tail.
The beret is suitable for various wool blends with good stitch definition. Solid and semi-variegated yarns are highly recommended in order to show the unique beauty of the lace motifs.

Sizing One size - to fit most heads with a 54-56 cm / 21-22” circumference.
Yarn 1 skein of MALABRIGO Rios: 100% Merino, 210 yards / 100 grams. Samples shown in colors: Fresco y Seco, Cumparsita.
Yarn substitutes: COLOUR ADVENTURES Dia Worsted, MADELINETOSH Vintage, MADELINETOSH Pashmina Worsted, MADELINETOSH 80/10/10 Worsted MCN.
Needles 3.5 mm / US #4 circular needle (at least 60 cm / 24” long) or dpns.
4.5 mm / US #7 circular needle (at least 60 cm / 24” long) and dpns.
Other Stitch marker, tapestry needle for weaving.
Gauge Measurements taken from a relaxed fabric after wet blocking.
18 sts and 24 rows in 10 cm / 4” in St st worked in the round with needle 4.5 mm / US #7.
22 sts and 48 rows in 10 cm / 4” in Garter st worked in the round with needle 3.5 mm / US #4.

Peacock Eyes Loop is a simple cowl worked from bottom to top all in one piece. It starts and finishes with Garter stitch. The body of the cowl features a collection of beautiful lace motifs resembling the eyes on a peacock’s tail. It can be made in three sizes: small, tall and long.
The cowl is suitable for various wool blends with good stitch definition. Solid and semi-variegated yarns are highly recommended in order to show the unique beauty of the lace motif.

Sizing small (tall, long) - instructions are given in size small - other sizes are in the brackets.
Width: about 62 (62, 110) cm / 25 (25, 44)”.
Height: about 24 (44, 24) cm / 9.75 (17.5, 9.75)”.
Yarn MALABRIGO Rios: 100% Merino, 210 yards / 100 grams.

Gauge 18 sts and 24 rows in 10 cm / 4” in St st worked in the round with needle 4.5 mm / US #7.

Peacock Eye Fingerless Mitts are mittens worked from bottom to top all in one piece. First, the cuff is worked flat in ornamental Garter Stitch, then you pick up stitches along one cuff edge and work upwards. The front of the mitt features a beautiful lace motif resembling the eye on a peacock’s tail.
Mitts are suitable for various wool blends with good stitch definition. Solid and semi-variegated yarns are highly recommended in order to show the unique beauty of the lace motif.

Sizing One size - to fit average woman’s hand with 17.5-18.5 cm / 7-7.5” circumference around fingers without thumb.
Width (flat): approx 8.5 cm / 3.25”.
Length: approx 14 cm / 5.5” (without cuff);17 cm / 7” (with cuff).
Yarn 1 skein of MALABRIGO Rios: 100% Merino, 210 yards / 100 grams.
Yarn substitutes: COLOUR ADVENTURES Dia Worsted, MADELINETOSH Vintage, MADELINETOSH Pashmina Worsted, MADELINETOSH 80/10/10 Worsted MCN.
Needles 3.5 mm / US #4 double-pointed needles or circular (for magic loop technique),
4.0 mm / US #6 double-pointed needles or circular (for magic loop technique),

Notions 3.50 mm (E) crochet hook for provisional CO, stitch markers (marker A, two markers B, two markers C), stitch holder or scrap yarn and tapestry needle for weaving.
Gauge 23 sts and 34 rows in 10 cm / 4” in St st worked in the round using needle 4.0 mm / US #6.
