Love fingerless mitts but not having leftover yarn? Knit
Gardiner Yarn Works' top down Hood River Mitts, by Yvonne
Ellsworth, and keep going until every last bit is used up! This long mitt
is knit in Malabrigo's Silky Merino and the shorter mitt is
knit in Cascade 220 Superwash.
Yarn Requirements:
worsted-weight yarn, approx 110 yds for wrist-length or up to 250 yds for
opera-length mitts
Gauge: 20 sts/30 rnds = 4” in Stockinette
Stitch on size 6 (4mm) needles Needles: set of 5 size 6 (4mm) double points and/or set of 2 size 6 (4mm) circular
Difficulty: Easy
Sizes: M/L
hand circumference = 8.5" -
Note: The ribbed pattern is
quite stretchy - each size will
fit a wide range of hands.
