In Puccini’s beautiful opera La Bohème, Musetta is coquette and lively and has many suitors who give her gifts. Her shawl is a study in flirtation.
Ilga Leja's Mussetta is worked from the long bottom edge to the top edge in a paneled lace pattern. Its geometric arrangement of knit and purl stitches create a reversible fabric. The ruffles, bordering each side, mimic and resolve the main pattern.
Shown in Fleece Artist Woolie Silk 3 Ply (65% wool, 35% silk), 230 m. per 100 g. skein, Straw.
