Think wicker chairs in sunlit conservatories where watercolor prints hang to evoke leaf and stem no matter what the season. But here spring is in the air with Jane Thornley's latest creation in lace, the Botany Wrap. Joined at the shoulders, this simple lace rib design bears an intarsia framed botanical Ďprintí on itís back.
Knit on 5mm/US 8 needles primarily in two shades of Fleece Artistís Lady Godiva, this wrap can be worn open at the sides, tied with a ribbon or i-cord, or sewn into a sleeved cardigan. It also features a little picot collar that either lays gently around the neck or perks up smartly with the help of a brooch. Optional picot edging also rims the wrap's lace extensions.
Fear of intarsia? Fear not! Knit the back panel in a lovely hand-dyed yarn using simple basketweave stitch for a framed effect. One size fits sizes small to 1X.
