Heather Dixon of Army of
Knitters shares her inspiration for her Toffee Apple Armlets..."I
had a skein of this gorgeous space-dyed sock yarn that I didn’t want to be
hidden inside my boots. I loved the way the stripes worked in this stitch
pattern so I designed these elegant armlets to keep me warm whilst still having
my fingers free for knitting! This pattern also works well in a solid coloured
yarn or your own design of stripes if space-dye isn’t your thing. To fit
average sized women’s hands and forearms snuggly. For chunkier limbs or a looser
fit, cast on 6 more stitches and increase the k4 portions of the pattern to k5
and the k5 portions of the pattern to k6, etc.
