Untitled 1
Mindie Tallack's Duffers (revisited) felted
slippers pattern is an expanded version of the original Duffers
slippers pattern. This unisex design is now in the following finished foot
lengths: 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11" (CM: 23, 23.5, 24, 25.5, 26.5, 28).
Knit in Cascade 220 Wool and felted they can be knit solid or
have fun matching colors.
Each of these sizes can be knit in
Standard, Wide and Extra Wide width fittings.
Seamlessly in the round or flat and seamed. The seamless
version uses Judy’s Magic cast on or the long tail cast on and join for knitting
in the round as you would with a pair of socks. You will just need to seam the
bottom of the slipper when done.
Each width fitting adds approx. 1” to the circumference of the
slipper. The smallest three sizes start at a foot circumference of about 8-8.5”
so the wide version comes in at 9-9.5” and the extra wide at 10-10.5. Similarly
the largest three sizes have foot circumferences which start at about 9.5-10” so
the wide is 10.5-11” and the extra wide 11.5 - 12”. These sizes do of course
depend on how hard you felt the slippers and your yarn, but with the slippers
felted to the correct length these are about the sizes you should expect to be
getting.
The pattern includes written instructions covering the
different sets of sizes and charts.
